Donor Egg Program - For Recipients

Becoming a recipient of donated eggs is becoming more popular in peri-menopausal women who are still cycling but suffer from age related infertility. Women with multiple previous failures of other assisted reproductive technologies, with genetic causes for multiple spontaneous abortions, or unwilling to risk passing undesirable genetic traits on their offspring also utilize egg donation. With the heightened acceptance of egg donation in the United States, we at Overlake Reproductive Health established an Egg Donor Program for our patients. This allowed our patients to have a pool of pre-screened donors available at anytime, without a waiting period. We have enough donors that donor sharing is not an issue at our center, as it is at many centers. Our patients have the freedom to choose a donor more closely matching their own physical and ethnic backgrounds.
